Dagfinn has been a farmer for 50 years, and was one of the first farmers in Norway to run his farm on ecologic principles. He is the founder of Blåbærgris A/S. He was in the national police force for 37 years, and spend 20 of them as country Chief of police, and 5 years as head of the intelligence unit of a police district.   

He has served on behalf of the Norwegian Government and the UN in peacekeeping missions in Africa, Middle East and in the Balkans. He has been in local politics and been at the board of the community council, and head of the planning and environment committee in the city of Haugesund.   

He has the Norwegian Police academy, the National defense college of Norway and studies in leadership at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
